ALL AUSSIE 4X4 CLUB ABIDES BY THE FOLLOWING CONVOY PROCEDURE

Convoy procedure becomes applicable when the convoy moves off from the designated starting point.

A vehicle will remain in the position given when the convoy moves off at the beginning of the trip unless the Trip Leader is notified.

Always wait at the intersection to ensure that the following vehicle has identified the correct route.

Always make sure that you have seen the vehicle behind you within 5 minutes.

Keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front at all times, especially in dusty and muddy conditions, in hilly terrain or when brakes are wet.

When ascending or descending steep hills wait at the top or bottom until the preceding vehicle has cleared the obstacle.

No vehicle is to leave the convoy without first informing the trip leader.

All gates are to be left as found.

In the interest of conservation, all vehicles are to keep to the track.

At river crossings no two vehicles are to be in the water at the same time.

In the event of a recovery or an accident, keep all vehicles and spectators clear. The trip leader is responsible for all recovery operations.

If you require the vehicle in front to stop, switch lights to high beam and make contact via UHF Radio on the designated channel.
