i wouldve went but ive moved spring mounts.pretty dumb rule i say.
im beginning to give up on even reading about comps due to stupid rules.

for example 4x4 masters-no beadlocks cause theyre illegal for road use but wheel spaces are permitted!!

this comp-cant move factory suspension mounts, that rules everyone with hi steer and real long rear leafs.

yeah but whats the point of building a comp truck if you can only use it in 1 comp per year because all the rules are different.

if you have a coil conversion does this count as moving the suspension mounts?

think ill just aim for tuff trucks either 2011 if i can get enough money together or 2012

I should be there, I competed in normal SOT in Feb, had a great weekend. Even Mrs D enjoyed herself.
Hopefully, Ill have the RUF and IFS rears done by then.

Ill have to do all the tracks on Saturday, and rush home as its my sons 2nd birthday on the Sunday.

Son Of Trials Plus is at the same place that they hold Son Of Trials, River Island Nature Reserve, about 30minutes west of Mittagong.
Its off Wombeyan Caves Rd if I remember correctly.
You can get a camper trailer down there as there was a few cravans/camper trailers there in Feb this year, but it would be a hairy run down, as it is very steep and tight.
The river is fantastic for swimming, just be careful because theres some real big rocks in the river.
From what Ive read and been told, they are using some of the SOT tracks for SOT+. Im unsure which ones they are using.
But, I had about 60% vision on the SOT weekend(I have eyeritis inmy right eye and couldnt see much out of it), and I finished all 8 tracks.
They arent hard tracks, but still great fun.
I think I was more tested on sunday doing the Loop and Steps tracks.

But its not a super competitive comp, more a Jamboree style get together with wheeling tracks.

Just in case youve never been to a SOT event, they dont run on a points system like other comps such as TTC, each track has a set time to do that track, example; 3.00. Say you do the track in 2.57, you will get 3 points for that track plus any penalties.
The entry with the lowest points at the end is the winner.

Its a great weekend and Ill be there.

One of the comp organizers has a thread in the comps section of the 4x4action forum and he seems to be answering most questions.
Otherwise, check the Patrol Club website.

Ill be rushing around trying to do all the tracks on the Saturday, and then rush home Saturday night, as it my sons 2nd birthday on the Sunday.
