Anyone know what Redbank & Awabakal roads are like?

Postby G Unit » Wed Sep 22, 2010 9:39 pm

just looking at some old maps and saw these as tracks i had marked out to explore. They run off Oswald road near the training ground at freemans water hole. Anyone know if they are worth the effort or just fire trails?

Awabakal rd runs along underneat Heaton lookout, lust along the north eastern edge of the Watagans
I owe, I owe, its off to work i go...

Redbank has a collapsed bridge @ 3/4 mark with no way around very easy 2wd track for most of it

Awabakal rd is mostly 4wd H also has a collapsed bridge but the good news is there is a way around it steep entry/exit down into the creek with some decent size boulders to negotiate(this creek is drivable by an unlocked @ least 2" lifted 4wd) there are also several tracks heading off of awabakal rd which range from 4H through to some rather tough 4L, however, a lot of them are dead ends, one of them(CTP249/3) actually comes up the hill & you can get to Heatons rd.
