My new big 80

Postby Wineandmud » Tue Jul 13, 2010 7:47 pm

Ok i have had it for a few weeks now but have decided to start the mods  It is a 97 landcruiser with a few mods done already. So far it has :
Front ARB winch bar (no winch yet)
ARB rock sliders
Kamar rear bar with tyre swing
IPF extreme lights
Rear flood light
Inside it has an amped and sub stereo
600W inverter built into rear drawers
Sliding fridge drawer and storage drawer
Rear custom down lights
Modified 4.5L
Twin thermos (manual switch)
Underneath sits a 4" mega lift running a set of 35" Km2 BFG's
Rock lights
Hot water shower system
Dual exhaust

Down side is it is a full time 4wd with ABS with pretty much no drive to the rear which i am trying to sort out.

Built as a tourer but i am thinking of visiting some tough tracks!

Decided to get the full time back to part time (thanks loader for the info). Went an got a pair of free wheeling hubs, diff lock switch and ordered a conversion kit through marks adapters. It was then driven down to Xtreme4x4 at Mona Vale for fitting by Pete Noone and further mods.

Don't know. I want to go nuts with it if i keep it because of the fully rebuilt motor and its wheelbase and all the spares i have for it. Then again, the cruiser is damn comfortable!

After smoking the weak clutch on westy steps i have ordered an exceedy safari clutch which will go in next week with a new fork as they are prone to snapping. THEN i might have 4wd????? I am thinking of the lux just sitting in the driveway waiting for action......ready,locked and needing rego...

So thats why you needed help to get up that last section.
You did try 3 different tracks before being recovered. :D
If you had brought the lux, you wouldve been sweet. :D

Seriously mate, it was good to meet up with you on sunday. Next time bring the lux.
