this is what it looked like
Image
First things we had to do. is take off all the stuff we didn't need.
so we took the carby manifold off and extractors. then all the old gas converters and air box with a few other bits and pieces. now looks like this
Image

after cleaning up all the mess and putting old stuff in a pile we got back into it.I cleaned all the surfaces and made them shiny and mounted the turbo and manifold
Image

the next problem we ran into is the way to face the turbo. so we moved some stuff and fitted it were we wanted it . in meaning this. it was so we could fit the internal waste gate.

later on today we started to bolt the turbo intake manifold up. after having all the injector holes welded up.the reason we are doing this is because we are not going efi. so we will use the air intake and block off the stuff we don't need.you still need to use the pcv valve so keep this in mind.all pollution gear can be taken out and so forth. gas research carbie will replace the existing throttle body.
Image

next thing to do was the intercooler.
we had to cut the guts out of the front grill for the cooler due to the fact it was big 300x600x80 in size - No photos. but basiclly there's nothing left of the Grill

we went to a steel joint in the next town over and bought 2 meters of 1"x5mm thick flat plate and came up with this to hole the cooler in place
Image

we also had to remove the aircon thermo fan

Picture With Grill On. take note the flat bar holding it up at the bottom

the next thing to do was cut a 7 "x2.3/4" in the radiator support to get the rubber bends through no pics with out Grill though :(
Image

then we had a 2.5" alloy intercooler pipe kit laying around then it looked like this

thats it for now. will add pics of the airbox dads just finished over the week
