what i do is get a wirer brush thing that goes on a grinder and sand it back to the metal then undercoat it with acrylic undercoat and respray it with acrylic gloss black and get a can of acrylic clear for the top coat the more coat of clear the better that will stop the black from chipping and getting scratches in it but make shore you get all the black enamel off it or you will see where you missed it , because it will fry up and look crap.
You know what I did before I married? Anything I wanted to.

Just arranged to buy another body for the 60 it's getting delivered on the 13.09.08 from Grafton. It's white and it's from the firewall back, no doors or windows, can't wait ! Buying it off rookiehj60 (just joined the forum) and he wants to go 4bying too when he comes down, so might and try and arrange something for that weekend

As some already know, there is alot of rust starting to come through in the roof of the 60.

There were 2 options open to solve the problem, the 1st was to cut the roof off both 60's and replace the rusty one with the roof off the decommissioned fj60, the cost was going to be $1500 plus. The 2nd option was to source another body in the same series with minimal rust.

Here's some pics taken a few months ago of the rust in the HJ60

it's become progressively worse over the past few months to the point where it is now really noticable

Luck would have it that another body was sourced for a cost of $500 delivered. 8) 4 doors were purchased separately off ebay and are now bolted on to the body.
