well it's been a while
bit of an update
alloy bullbar will be coming off very, very soon

I went & ordered a T15 winchbar from TJM Newcastle today
it should be available to pick up around Thursday morning/arvo
which gives me Friday & Saturday to put it on ready for the Watagans trip on Sunday

will be ordering a Tigerz11 9000lb 2speed winch with synthetic rope very soon too
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/TIGERZ11-NEW-9000LB-TWO-SPEED-WINCH-DYNEEMA-ROPE-/400133409627?cmd=ViewItem&pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5d29cf4b5b

along with putting my rock sliders on

went on the hunt for some mud & found plenty of it
local haunt Dora Creek Powerline tracks/mud plains
it started to rain quite heavily about 3/4 of the way through the track
tried to stay to the left through this small creek crossing alas the rear end slid to yhe right straight into the hole I was trying to avoid I guess that's what happens on slippery wet red clay.

time for some 35" muds me think, as these 33" A/T's just don't get enough traction
Image

still bogged, sun setting & getting cold
Image

called my M8 Pete to come help me 2 seconds to get stuck, bogged for approx 1/2 an hour & approx 2mins to get me out, took 2 attempts to snatch me out as I was sitting on my diff & rear bumper.

bent the passenger side step a little but who cares as I've got some rock sliders sitting in the carport

From what I have seen you should be happy with the winch. G Unit hooked up to the back of the 80 up at rover park during the battle of the states to pull himself out of a hairy angle and the winch worked a treat.I am ordering one soon myself.

$$ got a really good deal as my local tyre & exhaust specialist is a Maxxis dealer & were having a special on the Maxxis bravo & buckshot tyres.

$1400.00 for 4 LT315/75R16 buckshots fitted & balanced & free wheel alignment & a free maxxis off rd jacket

the bighorns were $1700.00 fitted & balanced & alignment was going to be another $50.00 on top of that.
