How does the jeep handle the long distances and ruts/corrugations in the outback. I have to ask so I can show my wife your reply as she is dead set on getting a rubi for touring but I am not so sure?

Hey Darren ,
the ride in the jeep was a bit harsh out of the box , so decided to mod the jeep for touring , with a 2" OME lift , and actually achieved a lift of nearly 4" . This made the trip to the outback excellent in terms of ride and handling , as it handled everything I threw at it , in the way of ruts, water crossings, mud and off road .
The comfort of the jeep for long periods was really good , as the seats are really good , and I never seemed to end the day, tired or sore .

Because the rubi is petrol , the only concern was fuel in the outback , but was remedied by way of a long ranger fuel tank .This seemed to balance the vehicle extremly well , as the aux tank is situated opposite , and the same size .
