water proofing

my car hates water so what the best way to waterproof the dizzy cap and leads ive used wd40 but there's got to be some better way to do it. so my ears are open.
You know what I did before I married? Anything I wanted to.

Lithuim silicon spray is good.You could spray it around were the cap screws down.It set like a tacky beige coloured slim and it is water resistant.Having a petrol 4wd i spray my electricals with it especially my coil packs on the jack.Learnt that one off roothy :D

another way is to use a bash plate as it will move most of the water awayfrom the engine on river crossings



or wrap a plastic bag around the dizzy also helps

so this stuff dont conduct elecricity and keep water out.
