Barrington Tops National Park

National Parks are wanting a fee for camping at the Barrington Tops National Park. Polblue camp site:$10.00 an adult and $5.00 for each child older than five years. Devil's Hole, Little Murray, Junction Pools, Horse Swamp and Gummi camp sites:$5.00 an adult and $3.00 for children older than five. Fees will start from September 1st 2008 fees will be collected at self-regulation stations and the areas will be patrolled by National Parks Officers. The fees are to contribute to the maintenance of services:toilets,picnic areas, rubbish collection, walking tracks, signs and roads.

Not a bad thing I guess, as long as the money goes were they say it will. Is there a yearly pass option or something like that?

Yes I agree it is probably a good idea and as you said, as long as the money goes where they say it's going then people won't mind paying the fees.

I'm not sure about an annual pass option, I'm pretty sure camping fees are paid on a "pay as you use" basis, the only annual passes they have are for park entry fees such as the Country Parks Pass which we purchased in March and have only used it once when we went up north, saved paying a daily fee for entry to the park while we camped there, camping fees were a separate payment.
